With 30 locations across London, our client needed a fit-out partner to help continuously improve their spaces for their customers.
Our client prioritises their customer’s comfort and happiness, collecting feedback regularly to enhance their spaces around their needs. One of the main issues raised across many of their locations was the acoustics, which is where our partnership started.
We firstly helped them with quick turnaround acoustic upgrades that utilised their existing stock across eight of their locations.
Rather than stripping out the existing acoustics, which would have been timely, expensive, and wasteful, we worked with them to find another solution.
Instead in all locations we closed up holes, added mastic sealing, replaced timber floors with carpets and closed up corrugated ceilings. With all of these works having to take place around occupied spaces, our team worked exclusively over weekends and evenings to modify the buildings without disturbance.
After the success of the initial projects, we were then appointed to deliver fit-outs and adaptations for incoming tenants that wanted to make the spaces work for them. This was followed by the fit-out of a large ground floor reception area that had previously favoured form over function. We adapted the reception by adding in a communal workspace, offering their members another space to meet and work within.
With the new space proving a huge success with their members, our client then adapted their working model to offer a ‘Pay-as-you-go’ service. This new model allows members to book co-working space by the day, and meeting rooms by the hour, with no monthly commitment. We managed the adaptations throughout their spaces to bring this new model to life.
The impact
The result has been a strong and trusted relationship between HOP Works and our client. Taking the time to fully understand our client’s, and their customer’s, needs has allowed us to continuously evolve their spaces to meet the changing needs of their occupiers.
